What do you do in the summer time?

We have had a good summer and I have just not been blogging lately. I feel I have been so busy with other things that it just gets put on the back burner. I just wanted to post some pics of the last few months. I also finally got a new camera!!!!!!! I love it. So much better than my 7 year old one that I was using for a while.
I have 2 cupboards in the living room that we keep her toys in. She must have wanted something in the back and didn't pull out the drawer and so she just climbed in. Todd noticed her and she couldn't get out, so of course you have to get a pic while she is trapped!!

Mayla just LOVES us to read to her. She has some even memorized. She has recently figured out how to climb up on everything. One day I went into her room and found her sitting in her chair looking through her books and jibbering!
We went up Green canyon with some friends for marshmallow roasting and we were only there for about 10 minutes when Mayla fell in the dirt. It was not normal dirt though, it was like black flour. She kept rubbing her eyes and saying "eyes, eyes". Then not 5 minutes later she fell on a rock and hit her face right under her eye. It was a tough few minutes!
This is Mayla and her friend Nora. They live directly across the street from us and Mayla just LOVES being over there. They were playing so cute under this slide. We are greatful to have someone so close in age to play with.
You know your baby is growing when they figure out that going up a slide is as much fun as going down. We went to this park by our house one night to get out of the house and she had a blast.

She even would go down the BIG slide. She would climb up and then turn around and go down backwards. By the end she did get brave and go on her back. A little more scary though.

This is me with my Darling friend Camie. We went to the discovery center for her sons birthday party. Hope Camie doesn't mind the pic since this was taken while she was pregnant at that time.
They turned on music for the kids to dance and Mayla got into it by the time that all the other kids were done. She would twirl around and then squat and jump. It was so cute.

Mayla's hair is getting longer and thicker and curlier I think. It is so dang cute. Glad to see you blogging again and that you got a new camera.

Looks like you guys have had a fun filled summer! Can she get any cuter?! I do the collages on my blog with a program called Picasa. You just upload your photos, make a collage and post one pic. It is so much faster than trying to post a lot of pictures! You should try it!
