Halloween

Just trying to catch up still... Mayla was princess Ariel for halloween. We let her choose who or what she wanted to be this year and every time I asked it was always Ariel. I didn't care for any of the mermaid costumes that I found so I decided to maker her the 'pink' dress. Of course there are no patterns for that dress so I had to put three different patterns together. It was a little time consuming but I am happy with the result. She enjoyed being a princess.
Every year we go to Todd's work for a little indoor trick-or-treating. She pretty much filled her bucket just from that trip!

The next day was Halloween and it was a cold and wet day! Mayla's cousins Rylee and Sadie where here and so we first went trick-or-treating at the mall. Can I just say it was CRAZY. We only lasted a few stores and then headed to a local grocery store. It was busy but not as crowded. The kids scored some great treats and were happy.

We decided to brave the weather and try for some 'Real' outdoor trick-or-treating. To explain the 10 minutes we lasted would include: crying, an injury, cold, rain, and a complete break down!! Yup we only went to 3 houses and it was over. It was a busy day and with no nap for Mayla the day had to come to an end.
