Mayla's Red Bed

With Jax coming and needing a crib we figured it was time for Mayla to upgrade to a big girl bed. I was feeling ambitious and decided to make her a bed. I went and purchased all the supplies and realized that it would require more skills than I had (and tools) so I of course went to Papa for help.
He did a great job with a little help from Todd and I on some design factors. It turned out better than I had expected.
I did all the finish work on it, pregnant and all. I should have a picture of me with my painting mask on and  a huge belly, well maybe I am glad that I don't have record of that. Not a pretty picture. Any way, Mayla loves her "red bed" that Papa made. I was worried she would fall out or just get out on her own every-night, but to my surprise she didn't do either one.

I made all of her bedding as well, and used some that she had in her crib and the quilt that used to be on the wall as decoration. I am wishing I had a red bed!! Thanks Papa
