Mean Mesquito!!

I have always hated Mesquito bites as probably everyone else in the world, but now I have an even stronger dislike for the terrible little things. So to start out, it was the night of the 4th of July Fireworks. We had family over at our house to watch them. We all were watching and started to notice the little pests out. We put on repellent and went back to the fireworks. After everyone was leaving I noticed on Mayla's forehead that she had a little mark and just figured it was a little bite. To our surprise Mayla came in our room the next morning and I was shocked at what I saw. Trying not to panic I got Todd's attention and we knew this was not good. She had 2 bites one right in between her eyes and the other right under her Left eye. I left right away to go and buy some benadryl. What else do you do in a time like this but call your mom to see what her advice is, well it just so happened that she was on a bike ride with her cousin and an ENT doctor. I was able to speak with him and he called in a medication to help stop the reaction that her body was having and to reduce the swelling. She was such a good sport about the whole thing. She really didn't seem to panicked about it. She did say that she wanted it to be better and look like it did before. It made her sad when someone talked about it so we just tried not to make a big deal about it.
This was day one. It truly did get worse before it got better. At one point you couldn't even see her long eyelashes because the swelling covered her entire eye.
