What do you do in the winter time...

I am now in the Cub scouts and due to that my kids are now scouts themselves. They come to all the activities and so it is nice when we get to do fun things. We decided to go sledding. This was Jax first time sledding and he had a great time. Now for his clothing situation. Since this was his first time I realized that he has no snow clothes. So we had to use Mayla's. It sure is a good thing that he is Man enough to pull this off, I apologize to him now when he looks back on these and can't believe that I would make him wear pink, sorry buddy. Joyce, another leader, let him borrow her hat. Look'n good dude!!

Mayla was bummed that she didn't get to go sledding with us so the next day we played out in the snow while Jax was sleeping. Mayla wanted to make a snow angel and a snow man. She said it was too bright to look and me so this is the best smile we could get!!
I managed, barely, to build this snow man. The snow was so heavy that I was probably a site to see trying to put the head on. Mayla was in charge of the accessories. She was pretty proud of our creation.

So another item we found out we didn;t have was a sled. I was trying to come up with anything that I could so I found my wake board and took off the bindings. as we were getting ready to try it out, I noticed a sled over at our neighbors and so we used that instead. Mayla was so excited to go all by herself.
Soon her friends saw us out there and decided to join in the fun. They were being so silly and had a great time together.

(Feb 2, 13) We started to go do something with the kids, their choice, on Saturday's since we are stuck in the house due to the cold. Mayla wanted to go bowling at the fun park. Mayla did pretty good considering she would sit on the floor and push the ball down the lane. It took its time getting to the pins but she was a pretty good little bowler.

Jax wanted to do it all by himself, but we managed to sneak in and help push the ball along. He wasn't to sure why we couldn't just walk down the lane and go get the ball. He lost a little interest at the end but all in all did pretty good.
