Easter

We had a fun and busy Easter Sunday. We started out the day with a Breakfast with some of our friends and neighbors. We had some wonderful breakfast food and enjoyed the company. We sure have some Great Friends. I just wish I would have taken pictures.

It was fun to have Mayla find her basket and eggs. She wasn't really sure what it all meant when we talked about it but as soon as she found her basket and realized the eggs had candy in them she was in seventh heaven!

My mom and Dad had an Easter egg hunt at their house after conference. Mayla and Claire had fun finding their eggs.

This is pretty much what the day entailed, finding eggs and eating, and eating, and eating CANDY!!
Since we didn't have church today I thought I would make her a skirt instead of an Easter dress this year. I found this pattern on another blog and love how it turned out. So much fun to make. To explain the accessories, they are from her dress up box and she HAD to wear them. We spent the entire day putting those earrings back on because they would come off very easy. She would have a breakdown as well when they fell off. Ohh what a GIRL!!
I made dessert. My grandma wanted something with Strawberries in it. It is a lemon cake layered with lemon filling and strawberries. It was pretty good if I say so myself. Thanks Food network!
