March 30
My mom and I decided to brave the drive to St. George with the kids, to visit my sister. Both Jax and Mayla slept for a little over 3 hours on the way down. We hit a bunch of traffic and so that added another 45 minutes to our drive. Jax was done with an hour left and so if we didn't' have that delay earlier he would have done great. If it wasn't for Grandma's phone then we would have not made it!! That kept him entertained for a long time.
He loved the little ride on the four wheeler.
My Grandma has a pool by her house and so the kids were very excited to go swimming. This was Jax first time in a pool. He was a little worried at first but soon began to enjoy it. Mayla on the other hand became very nervous with a life jacket on. I know it sounds weird but she hasn't had really any experience with one one. She swims every week but without one on and so she just didn't trust it.
My mom's cousin makes these aprons and sells them on etsy. They are so dang cute. She asked if they girls would model them, and they willingly agreed. What some beautiful girls we have!!
Mayla with her best friend/cousin Sadie, as she would say. They sure love eachother and they enjoy every moment they get to see eachother. Mayla always talks about Sadie and says, "but we can't go to her house because it is too far away, huh mom."She likes to end her statements with a question if you agree.
We had a great time and enjoyed seeing my grandma and grandpa. My Grandpa has been having some major medical concerns so it was so nice to get to spend time with them. We made them dinner one night and enjoyed our visit. The next day we decorated Easter eggs. Oh yes I DID have pictures but by someones little fingers they were deleted, we wont name names! Some of my cousins came over as well and they each decorated a dozen eggs. Thanks to Grandma for boiling them all. What a great memory to have.
