I believe this has now become a tradition to go to the heritage farm every year with my family. This year was a little challenging due to the weather. We actually pulled up to the place and could see very dark clouds and wasn't sure if we wanted to brave it or not. The girls convinced us to stay and we crossed our fingers it wouldn't rain. I sure was glad that they were right. We ended up not getting wet at all and the kids had a blast.
Mayla loves the horse ride.
This was Jax first try at being a cowboy. He was sure happy to see the horse and pet him and so it seemed that he would really enjoy this ride...
He was pretty worried at first but we made him stick with it...lets just say by the end of the 30 second ride he was crying and death gripping grandma. Maybe one day he will enjoy this more, but it sure wasn't today.
This year they had a slide made from an old billboard sign. It was truly the hit of the day.
The kids loved to go with Papa
Best little cousin buddies, Sadie and Mayla
Funny moment, I was walking up the side of the slide and somehow ended up putting one foot on the slide and down I went, not to mention I had Jax with me at the time. I sent him down the slide all on his own, the turn out was much better than the horses. He was loving every minute!!
Little kid straw maze. They made it through with ease.
To finish off the day they played on the hay jump. Jax sure loves to jump off anything so this worked great for him.
