Chaing Mai Thailand

We are off to Thailand. Here is our day... 1.5 hours to Airport, 2 hours to California, 15 hours to Korea, 5 hours to Thailand. There were layovers during this as well. Lets just say it was a long trip and yet so worth it.
Our first stop was Chiang Mai. We arrived at night and so it was hard to really get a feel for where we were, but in the morning we were in paradise. You can't help it when you are staying at the Four Seasons.
We each had our own apartment to say the least. The hotel is located on a rice patty farm. The scenery was so beautiful and peaceful. The grounds were gorgeous.

It was Sunday so we headed to church. There was a cute little Branch that we attended. We more than doubled their attendance that day. We then headed to see some Temples. Our mode of transportation was a rickshaw. There is nothing better than being taken around in a cart pulled by a little man on a bike.
We took so many picture of the architecture that it is hard to choose one. The detail on the temples is incredible. everything has a purpose and truly is very important to their religion.

Don't be alarmed this Monk is not real.
However these are. They sit in the Temple and people come and give them gifts in return for blessings.

We then headed to get some food. We love thai food and so this was a highlight. We walked to an Orchid farm just across from our Hotel. It was one of my favorite meals. We ordered so much food and it only cost us $12. I am not a soda drinker but the coke was so good there.
We were surrounded by these Orchids. Ohh do I love these flowers.
