July 4th Firework parties

On Friday July 2nd we had some friends over for a Barbecue and to watch the Fireworks. We were worried glad to find out that we could still watch the fireworks from our house since a house was recently built accross the street.
We had a great time with the Wuthrich, Jones, Axtell, and Porter Families. Mayla enjoyed having some new kids to play with. She started out a little cranky but had a blast. She especially buddied up with Rykin. He was so sweet to her and they enjoyed playing together.
Our friend Trisha brought some glow sticks for the kids to play with. Mayla had a necklace, 2 anklets, and 2 braceletts. She was glowing so well!!
She had a little melt down when I took them off to put on her PJ's and so I let her put them back on after she was changed. As I was putting her to bed I couldn't figure out what was so bright in her room. Those glows sticks were brighter than I thought and so it took me a minute to figure it out.
~ Waiting for the fireworks to start with Dad
The next day we went to Bountiful for a Jorgensen Family reunion. We went to the park and Mayla wanted to play on the slides all day so I didn't get any pictures of the fam. We had a great time seeing some of Todd's cousins that we don't get to see very often.
We then met up with Todd's mission companion and his family (Airharts) in Salt Lake. We went to dinner and then to the fireworks at the city Park. Mayla and Hadley were our pre-fireworks entertainment.
Waiting for the fireworks to start.
Mayla and Hadley snuggled under the blankets.
It defiantly was one of the best fireworks show that I have been too. Not sure if it was the company, or how close the fireworks were, or the Free Seats (that's right Jake NO TICKETS!! ha ha), or the fact that they lasted forever, but we sure had a great time. Thanks Airharts for the invite.
